GenesisCare is delighted to have been ranked in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, a league of Britain’s fastest growing companies out today.
We were approached by Fast Track following our ambitious drive to develop seven regional cancer centres by the end of 2013, and are featured 33rd in the league table published in today’s Sunday Times.
GenesisCare’s chief executive, Steve Bird, says: “I’m delighted by this recognition which is a result of all the hard work and dedication of everyone in the GenesisCare team. We’ve seen a high demand for our service, which has enabled us to secure the funding to open more centres – each providing specific services to meet the needs of that particular region.”
Prof Karol Sikora, chief medical officer with GenesisCare, adds: “In the last three years the organisation has quadrupled in size, and our staff numbers have mirrored that, increasing four-fold in the same period.
“This growth will enable us to continue to fulfil our aim of providing access to advanced radiotherapy close to patients’ homes. This provides them with prompt and seamless treatment with minimal disruption, allowing them to get on with their lives.”
GenesisCare is one of only four healthcare companies on this year’s Fast Track 100, and the only one which provides healthcare treatment. Fast Track 100 is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each December, with an awards event at Richard Branson's Oxfordshire home each May.
