ASTRO 2016 conference
A representative contingent from across GenesisCare, the largest private provider of radiotherapy services in Australia and the UK joined fellow professionals at the internationally renowned American Society for Radiation Oncology Annual Meeting (#ASTRO16), in Boston Massachusetts. This year the event theme was, ‘enhancing value, improving outcomes’.
Considered by many as the world’s most important meeting for the radiation oncology community, the event attracted over 11,000 healthcare and pharmaceutical experts over five days. Over 20 exhibitors joined an esteemed panel of international speakers and renowned VIP guests.
ASTRO 2016 highlights
This year’s highlights included: the latest ground-breaking science at the Plenary and Clinical trials sessions; over 1,700 paper posters and ePoster sessions; and a crammed program of education sessions, panels, exhibitions and workshops for all disease sites. Matt Hickey, Director of Clinical Strategy, GenesisCare UK was amongst the illustrious presenters, giving an overview of the GenesisCare UK: Varian collaboration on launching the Varian 360 Oncology Cancer Care Coordination suite. Audience questions included the senior international Varian team, Varian users, hospital group representatives and clinicians from across the world. Matt comments:
