Our very own chief executive, Steve Bird and chief medical officer, Professor Karol Sikora were lucky enough to meet HRH The Prince of Wales today. The team joined a number of other reputable figures in the world of cancer treatment at a fantastic lunch reception at Clarence House.
The event, hosted by our Living Well partner, Penny Brohn Cancer Care gave HRH The Prince of Wales the opportunity to meet various people who treat cancer and those who have been affected by the illness, and to also hear their unique and inspirational stories. Guests included Penny Brohn’s new Celebrity Patron, Suranne Jones.
The attendees enjoyed some delicious foods, inspired by the Penny Brohn Living Well approach; something that is available to patients who are being treated by GenesisCare UK at its centres.
“It was an absolute pleasure to meet HRH The Prince of Wales and to see so many smiling faces at the event today. It is always encouraging to speak to survivors who have been affected by cancer, and we are extremely proud of our Living Well programme offered in our centres across the country. The programme we offer gives patients practical tools to help manage the impact of their cancer and improve their quality of life.”
GenesisCare UK chose Penny Brohn Cancer Care because it is a national charity which was set up over 30 years ago and has developed a wide range of wellbeing programmes designed to support men and women affected by cancer in the UK.
